Making your dog happy can be a challenge for most who work full time and aren’t with their dog 24 hours a day.
Dogs are very intelligent and very active. They therefore need a lot of mental and physical stimulation to stay both happy and healthy. It doesn’t have to be expensive to achieve this either. And lets not forget, that they are a member of our family and do need some regular quality time to feel safe.
Tips for Making your dog happy
- Spend regular quality time with them
- purchase/ make some toys at home for them that can challenge
- change up the toys regularly
- identify what they like doing most
- If you don’t live alone, get the family/friends involved
- put a plan together based on what to do and who can help. We’ve provided an example of a plan below.
- Dog training classes: agility, training, tricks.
Example of a Plan
If you’re not sure where to start with putting a plan together, we’ve put an example together for you for you to adapt to what you already have at home.
Keep in Mind
When putting a plan such as the above together, its important that you don’t just set and forget. You also need to look at ways of changing it up. Monitor your dog to make sure they’re enjoying it and consider what you can change every few weeks.
